This 1 of 10 Limited Edition print, photographed by Jesse Goff, captures a vivid moment inside San Francisco’s Embarcadero BART station in 1997, offering a sweeping panoramic view of the platform as BART trains stand poised for their next departure. The image reflects the sleek, futuristic design of the trains and the clean symmetry of the station architecture, frozen at a time when the Bay Area’s transit system stood on the edge of the millennium.
BART’s Embarcadero station is a constant in the lives of thousands of commuters—a space where routine, movement, and modern infrastructure intersect. This photograph pauses that motion, drawing attention to the stillness between arrivals. The metallic palette—cool greys and silver tones—is broken by the yellow of the safety markings and the warm ambient glow of overhead lighting, creating a balanced, atmospheric composition rich with subtle detail.
Created using the Seitz 220VR medium format film scanning slit rotational camera, this image is the result of a highly specialized process. The camera, computer-controlled and loaded with long rolls of medium format film, produces a massive negative that is drum scanned at exceptional resolution. This analog method offers tonal depth and detail far beyond what digital tools can reproduce, especially at this scale.
At 90x27 inches, this museum-quality print commands attention. When framed and matted, the final piece will have additional dimensions due to the matting and frame width. Each print is produced with archival materials to ensure lasting brilliance and depth. As availability decreases, values are expected to rise, making this not only a statement piece but a strong long-term investment for collectors.
